I attended theInternational Woodworking Fair (IWF) in Atlanta this year. I scoped out the new woodworking tools that I thought you might like to see. I created a video tour and have provided PDFs of product literature and links to the items featured where possible.

Lee Valley has a number of new items to announce this month!
Tools, accessories, organizers, puzzels and some things I can't even categorize. As usual, I have scanned the press releases and created a PDF file for you.

In June 2012 the new Irwin Marples line of saw blades will be rolled out. I got to tour the factory in Italy as part of the press tour.

I have created a PDF that shares with you what I have learned about these blades and why they deserve a look.

 Lee Valley has sent me their April 2012 press package on new products being released! 10 New items are available including a locking clamp for their dual marking gauge, thread sizing kit andother useful items. I've scanned these in for you, download the PDF here.

Uniruler is a new twist on the classic folding carpenter's ruler. using modern materials and featuring all sorts of marking slot options, it promises to become a staple of 21st century tool boxes.

I will be getting one of the initial production run, so watch for my review coming soon.

Lee Valley just announced their new Gent's Saws. They come in Rip and Crosscut versions and feature a similar handle design to their Carcase Saws that I reviewed.

The handles are high tech, but the styling remains classic. They are being offered until Oct 31st 2011 with a special introductory price.

Lee Valley has sent me their September Press Release package AND samples of many of the new tools! This means I will be posting reviews in the coming months. They sent a Front Vice, their Small Bevel Up Smooth Plane, all four of their Palm Planes, and a sample of their Non-Skid material.

Rockler has announced their new Bench Dog branded Push Bloc. What makes it different is the rubberized handle, designed to provide exceptional grip.

Being Bench Dog brand means that you can buy them not only through Rockler, but also many local hardware stores and home centers.

 Lee Valley Tools has a number of new offerings for the New Year including a set of turning tools with insert cutters, Magswitch's Workholding System, and a very slick looking M&T jig.

Lee Valley's latest inset vice seems to be an excellent compact unit that can be embedded in surfaces as thin as 1 1/4". They sent me a sample and I will be reviewing it soon.

Veritas Inset Vice

General International has opened a new US office and distribution center here in Murfreesboro, TN. They invited editors from the major woodworking magazines to see the center and new products, and I got invited as well.

General gave us all a package showing all the new products coming out, including a price list. I have scanned the package into a pdf which you can download here.
